MRes in Creative Practices research students aim to connect, create, contribute. We come from a range of disciplines such as painting, photography, creative writing, sculpture and art history. We reflect on our place in the world and wider concerns through academic enquiry, referencing social, historical, cultural and theoretical discourses and traditions as we do so. Our creative practice demonstrates real engagement with ideas and concepts we are immersed in throughout the year, and culminates in our multidisciplinary graduate show in September 2016.

Currently working on 'Calibrating the Darkness' - a digital novel set under tungsten bulbs, the stars and orange sodium lights. How can multimedia elements - photography, video - blend with creative text to intensify reading at a sensory level? Can immersion in characters' consciousness help us get to the essence of our lived experience?
