MRes in Creative Practices research students aim to connect, create, contribute. We come from a range of disciplines such as painting, photography, creative writing, sculpture and art history. We reflect on our place in the world and wider concerns through academic enquiry, referencing social, historical, cultural and theoretical discourses and traditions as we do so. Our creative practice demonstrates real engagement with ideas and concepts we are immersed in throughout the year, and culminates in our multidisciplinary graduate show in September 2016.
Leo Plumb
My work calls upon sculpture, photography, moving image and documentary research.
Using these tools my research investigates political consciousness and apathy in society.
I am busy examining the way individuals form connections to: city architecture, the workplace and news media and trying to propose new ways to observe individual and collective agency.
