MRes in Creative Practices research students aim to connect, create, contribute. We come from a range of disciplines such as painting, photography, creative writing, sculpture and art history. We reflect on our place in the world and wider concerns through academic enquiry, referencing social, historical, cultural and theoretical discourses and traditions as we do so. Our creative practice demonstrates real engagement with ideas and concepts we are immersed in throughout the year, and culminates in our multidisciplinary graduate show in September 2016.
Agnes Jones
I am an Artist Blacksmith who draws in steel to create large scale single line sketches which are often functional.
My work is all about challenging the way people see steel and exploring what it can do through making a range of practical and sculptural pieces.
